Hypercar S2 Predictions

We've been only 1 round into the 2nd season of MCRO's Hypercar series, however based on the driver performances we can already try to guess how will the rest of the season look like.

5. DeTomaso

Despite a decent first race, I don't think guys in DeTomaso will be that far ahead. While the car is slightly better than the Mazda Furai, the drivers of the Mazda seem faster comapred to DeTomaso's. DisortionJayden and holepeletenis (Michal) are both good drivers, however compared to some of the Mazda drivers like Avith, quack or lio they are in a lower league.

4. Mazda

Guys at Mazda had a bad opening race with them finishing dead last, however they seemed strong on quali with a P3 result. They have a great driver lineup too - quack can be very fast on a good day, with lio doing pretty well too. Speaking of the car - it's probably the worst car in the series, but not by a long shot, so they have a chance of fighting DeTomaso or even Aston on some tracks.

3. Aston Martin

Judging by the first race, Aston will do pretty well if everything goes as planned. Egg is a skilled driver and can save Aston incase something goes wrong. They also have Avith, the S1 Hypercar Champion, who if he can keep it clean, can do very well. Bugqtt1 seems decent too (judging on the F1 series, though) if he can actually remember the track. The Valkyrie is a fast car too, as in the last season it was sometimes faster than the Zonda. With correct hands, it can do magic.

2. GMA

The T.50 is the best car - doing most of the things Zonda R does, but having an advantage of the top speed (10+ MPH faster than the Pagani). The team seems to be really organized as well, however it seems like on some tracks the Zonda can be faster. The driver lineup is great - with F3 champion Syrz, long-time CDT racer Sky and AlexTheBestWWE who did some decent results. We also have a rookie sadboi5345, who was only done 1 race, so we cannot judge him right now. Syrz is consistent and fast, Sky is fast but sometimes drops in pace, same applies to Alex. If the team can be both consistent and fast it can fight Zonda for the championship - some potential was shown during the first Hypercar race after lap 25, when Syrz took the wheel of the T.50 and managed to keep the gap between Pagani and GMA, which unfortunately was ~40 seconds. It may be a really tight battle, but we'll have to see.

1. Pagani

The Pagani is the 2nd fastest car, but with its drivers it is capable of winning - both Sot and Agg are really fast drivers, as the first hypercar race showed, oblivious can be really consistent if the connection allows him, and both Lexi and MrMouse are strong drivers as well. The car is either fastest or 2nd fastest on most, if not all of the tracks. The team management is decent as well. The most important downside is the top speed of the car (over 10 mph slower than GMA T.50) and Sot's connection which can do bad things during races, as F1 S1R3 and S1R4 showed. But overall, I think Pagani will place better than the GMA in the Hypercar standings.
