After Syrz won the first race of the 4th GT season, it was mostly sure that the Merc was indeed the fastest car. McLaren GT of Sot and Agg was also looking good, though, unlike the BMW teams which were ususally in the bottom, apart from Vark who finished P6 last race. However, with the Turbo Update that came just before the race, the BMWs recieved a turbo upgrade, allowing them to be somewhat competetive. Did it work out?
Quali
Lio started the quali really well, as he was ahead of both Agg and Obli. The BMW of Lexi was coming close to Autobacs of Obli, which was a good sign. Syrz and Sot were not having a good day, though. They were both behind Lexi and kinda struggling. The first half of the race had a great battle for P1 between Lio, Agg and Obli. However, on lap 4 Lio hits one of the trees near the ferris wheel and drops behind. It was now Obli vs Agg - both cars were close, but Agg was coming ahead of Obli and eventually finished on pole. Sot made a good comeback and finished P3, unlike Syrz who had a series of game freezes which made him finish P8, behind Lexi, but ahead of Dhen. Also, the top 4 was all McLarens, making it the most dominant car during this sprint quali.

Race
The race started with Sot leading after the first few corners, with Agg and Obli behind. Obli crashed on the diamond store corner and Sot was gapping Agg really fast. However, Syrz managed to catch up to Lio and Blaze who were battling for P3 and took that position. That didn't last long, as Syrz crashed and dropped again to P5. Also, on lap 5 Dhen had done a massive corner cut, where he skipped 2 corners which led him to a 10-second penalty after the race. In the back, Lexi dropped from P7 to last place, behind Dhen.

Lio was slowly catching to Agg in P2 and Syrz overtook Blaze for P4. Also, Lexi was lapped in just 8 laps. The BMW's best driver unfortunetaly didn't manage to do better in the race, despite the upgrades. Dhen who was also in the BMW was only 1 place ahead, in P8.
Sot on lap 15 started lapping another cars, this time Dhen and Michal. On lap 16 Syrz was also lapped. 2 Laps later, and every car up to P3 of Lio was lapped. This was pretty insane, as he had lapped drivers who were driving the same car as his, including Blaze and Obli who were both skilled drivers.
Merc really roll-prone car, as lap 24 showed, where both Lio and Michal (who were driving in Mercs) flipped on the same lap, a few laps back and Syrz flipped too.

On lap 26, both Sot and Agg have pitted, and they were pretty close. However, Sot was almost a lap ahead of his teammate, and he was only a few meters away from lapping him. Meanwhile, Syrz had cut 2 corners, just like Dhen:

He was also penalized with a 10-second penalty after the race. On lap 28, Sot was ahead of Agg, meaning that he had lapped every single car on the grid, a thing that outside of Hypercar races was not easy to do, even in the RSR days. With few laps to go, the only thing that Sot needed to do is drive safely to the finish line, which he did, winning his first race in GT. Agg came a whole lap later in 2nd, and Lio finished 3rd, making it his first podium since F3 R6, if we don't count Hypercar S2. Obli finished P4 after some struggles in the beggining, Syrz came P5, failing after a battle for P3 mentioned before - as he struggled with screen freezes and low framerates. Blaze finished P6, and Lexi managed to get her first points in GT after a battle with Michal. Dhen after many flips unfortunately didn't get into points.

Unfortunately the race wasn't that exciting as there weren't many battles apart from the battle for P8, Sot wasn't challenged by anyone thanks to his perfect driving and the gaps between drivers were quite big. However, that race would definetely end up in the MCRO history as one of the only non-Hypercar races where every single car was lapped. A thing that was hard to do even in the Porsche RSR days in GT S2 and S3. As usual, we hope that the next race will be more entertaining.
